A Safe Place to Learn, Grow, and Belong

ICI’s After-School Program provides children and youth with a safe, welcoming environment where they can build relationships, engage in positive activities, and receive consistent support from caring adults. Through after-school clubs, mentorship, and shared experiences, students are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and personally.

For many families, after-school programming is the first connection point with ICI—creating space for trust, stability, and long-term relationship-building.

How After-School Programming Works

After-School programming serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade, with age-appropriate groups designed to meet students at different stages of growth. While activities vary by age, all groups emphasize safety, belonging, and positive engagement.

Programming may include:

  • Structured group activities and games

  • Homework support and academic encouragement

  • Mentorship and small group discussions

  • Shared meals and snacks

  • Opportunities to build friendships and confidence

Students are supported by ICI staff and volunteers who work to create environments where kids feel known, valued, and encouraged.

More Than a Program

After-School at ICI is about more than filling time after the school day ends. Through consistent presence and care, students are encouraged to:

  • Develop a sense of belonging

  • Build confidence and social skills

  • Improve academic effort and engagement

  • Experience stability and safety

  • Form trusting relationships with mentors

  • Learn healthy habits and routines

Over time, these relationships help students navigate challenges, make better decisions, and imagine new possibilities for their future.

Rooted in Faith, Lived Out Daily

Leadership Development at ICI is fully faith-centered. Bible studies, prayer, and spiritual conversations are woven into mentoring relationships, creating space for students to wrestle with questions, grow in understanding, and deepen their walk with Christ.

Rather than separating faith from leadership, students are encouraged to see how their beliefs inform how they treat others, make decisions, and respond to challenges.
